General Position Summary

To work with the Director of Design to get direction for season. Responsible for designing and executing the product for their division.

General Job Functions

  • Presenting mood/trend boards;
  • Thorough knowledge of stitching and construction;
  • Technical sketches;
  • Fit experience;
  • Working with sample room on product;
  • Travel to source market;
  • May interview and select employees to fill vacant positions;
  • Plans and conducts employee training to meet established goals;
  • May prepare budget for departmental operations

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • 5-7 years of experience in the field;
  • Contemporary market experience;
  • Computer skills preferred;
  • Fabric knowledge
