General Position Summary

Responsible for all aspects of production execution from sketch/prototype stage through delivery in DC. Responsible for managing and developing reports within department. Develops seasonal and long-term Sourcing and inventory plans to meet development and production commitments. Responsible for markup up structures to meet company goals. Responsible for communication with regards on deliveries to merchants.

General Job Functions

  • Responsible for management and development of production direct reports;
  • Partners with Design, Merchants and all other pre production area’s;
  • Sourcing vendors to meet company needs;
  • Production execution for on time delivery;
  • Ensure department initial markup goals are met;
  • Ensure vendors understand company’s policy;
  • Making sure vendor is bringing in a quality garment with 4% AQL;
  • Managing and developing reports; Bottom line accountability for price negotiations and overall line profitability;
  • Product line meets all calendar milestones;
  • Responsible for communication with regards on deliveries to merchants and DC;
  • Ensuring all quotas HTSUS/Cat are correct;
  • Making sure the vendors is in compliance
  • Pro actively identifies potential production issues;
  • Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills;
  • Ability to react to change;
  • May prepare budget for departmental operations;
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ensures compliance of QC standards with QC personnel;
  • Additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as assigned by supervisor.

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the field or related area;
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word;
  • Effectively communicate in written and verbal form;
  • Basic costing and negotiation skill;
  • Knows basic fabric and garment construction;
  • Some pattern making knowledge;
