General Position Summary

Confirm final stages of sample before it goes into domestic production. Measure final samples. Develop package programs for overseas sportswear.

General Job Functions

• Measure garment for spec;
• Ensure grading is correct for garment; 
• Review sewing instructions and compare to garment;
• Review trim and compare to garment;
• Maintain production picture board;
• Review work completed by other Spec Technicians;
• Check set-ups before passed to Pattern Designers;
• Send out “package programs’ 
• Fit package programs samples, including fit comments and grading;
• Daily correspondence with vendors regarding packages; 
• Keep track of workflow in pattern room;
• Monitor cutting and sewing by daily prioritizing the areas

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree;
• 5-7 years of experience in the field;
• Contemporary market experience;
• Computer skills preferred;
• Fabric knowledge
