ABOUT
Porscia Yeganeh, professionally known as PORSCIA, is an Iranian Canadian fashion designer who has become the epitome of classic modern fashion. TESTING
Already a fashionably dressed child, Yeganeh started showing her affinity for fashion by making garments for her doll collection at the early age of 6. Her technique in sewing was always stitching her garments inside out as she found it very stylish! Yeganeh continued to sharpen her creative vision throughout her school years. She studied fashion & textiles and graduated from Fashion Design & Technology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
In 2002 Vancouver Fashion Week producer, Jamal Abdourahman, discovered Yeganeh and invited her to showcase her collection in the upcoming fashion show. She became a regular seasonal exhibitor at VFW from then on. The success of her collection led to Yeganeh being awarded, “Top 10 Best Designer of the Year,” in 2003 and "Top 20 Innovators to Watch For in the Future," 2009.
COLLECTION
Form & Function, Ready-to-Wear: PORSCIA'S collection heralds new designs that revolutionize the fashion industry by combining classic materials in an unconventional manner without compromising elegance or quality. PORSCIA tells us an intimate story about the evocative relationship between the sensual body and the refined garment. She works instinctually and intelligently with a natural inclination and a strong consideration for movement, sensuality, and function. The designs are discrete, seductive, and elegant.
“Elegance is the privilege of those who know how to stage their life. It’s the freedom of highlighting your own individual beauty without unveiling yourself."
